As part of preparations towards the Royal visit of the King of Eswatini to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene,the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has on Saturday, 21st June 2025,organized a massive clean -up exercise throughout the municipality with much focus on Sofoline and Tanoso.
The clean-up exercise was aimed at ensuring a clean and healthy environment in anticipation of the Royal visit.
At Sofoline, the exercise started from the Bus Terminal through to the main highway and ended at the roundabout under the interchange.
At Tanoso, the exercise started from the main road through to the market and ended at the underpass infront of the market.
Similar exercise were carried out at Apatrapa junction, IPT, Asuoyeboah, Apatrapa new site near Kessben and other communities.
The clean-up exercise involved clearing of weeds,sweeping,disilting of choked gutters and stagnant waters, removing of refuse and disposing of refuse.
After the exercise, the Municipal Chief Executive, (MCE),Hon.Eric Asibey, commended the participants for the high level of participation and emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
The exercise brought together Assembly Members, Staff of the Assembly, Heads of Departments,NDC Constituency Executives, drivers, traders, vendors, and residents.
Notable among the participants were the MCE, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Francis Adu-Boateng, the Presiding Member, Hon.Ernest Frimpong, the Municipal Engineer, Mr Evans Denkyira, the Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Mrs Genevieve Anthony, and the Municipal Finance Officer, Mr Ernest Acheampong.
