KWADASO MCE MEETS TRADERS


The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwadaso, Hon.Eric Asibey, has on Thursday 5th June 2025,met with market leaders in the municipality at the Municipal Assembly’s Conference Hall.

The engagement was aimed at familiarizing himself with the market leaders,address their concerns and also ensure effective collaboration between the Assembly and its stakeholders.

Some concerns that were raised by the traders during an open forum included;lack of security at some market centers, Sanitation issues, dilapidated markets structures, inadequate packing space, congestion,stalled projects among others.

The MCE was grateful to the traders for honouring his invitation and acknowledged the importance of markets in boosting the local economy and assured them of the Assembly’s commitment to address all their challenges.

The MCE also appealed to the traders to pay their tolls as that is what the Assembly accumulates for developmental projects.

Hon.Asibey then promised the traders of the Assembly’s continued collaboration and dialogue with them to enhance their activities.

Earlier in a welcome address, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Francis Adu-Boateng explained the decentralization process that has resulted in the Assembly having a new Chief Executive to the traders and called for support for the new MCE.

Market leaders from Kwadaso, Edwenase ,kokode, Tanoso, Asuoyeboah, Sofoline participated in the meeting.
