KWADASO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY OBSERVES GHANA’S 68TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY.


The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly in collaboration with Ghana Education Service on 6th March 2025,observed Ghana’s 68th Independence Anniversary with a colorful parade at the Ohwemase M/A School Park.

The event held under the theme “Reflect,Review,Reset” was observed with modest fanfare,as the Assembly opted for a scaled-down ceremony to cut-cost.

Conspicuously, the usual school children and security agencies parade was absent from this year’s celebration, a measure to cut-cost.

The event was thus simple but magnificent, reflecting the President’s directives to scale down the celebration as a means of cutting-cost.

The event featured a March past by Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High School, Prempeh College and Business Secretariat Technical Institute cadet corps,an Inaugural address by the Municipal Coordinating Director and a few cultural Performances by the pupils of Ohwimase M/A Basic School and Atwima Amanfrom SDA Primary.

The ceremony was attended by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Francis Adu Boateng, the Municipal Education Director, Mrs Grace Ofosu-Boateng, the Suntreso Police Commander,DSP. Frank Mintah Adjei,the Presiding Member, Hon.Ernest Frimpong, Hon.Assembly Members, Heads of Departments/Units,Heads of the Security Agencies, Nananom, NDC Constituency Chairman, Mr Moro Issah,NDC Constituency Executives, the Clergy, Zongo Chiefs,Teachers, some staff of the Assembly and the general public.
