MP FOR KWADASO VISITS FIRE VICTIMS AFTER ANOTHER FIRE GUTS KWADASO WOOD MARKET

Another fire has gutted the Kwadaso wood market barely two weeks after the previous one and it’s very devastating.

As the traders were recovering from the last fire outbreak, the market was hit with another fire on Sunday 19th January, 2025,causing massive destruction to properties and further worsening the plight of the traders .

It is in this regard that the Member of Parliament for the Kwadaso Constituency Prof.Kingsley Nyarko,has once again visited the victims to commiserate with them.

Speaking at a brief meeting with Executives and traders at the market, the MP acknowledged the tough times the traders might be going through having lost their livelihoods not once but twice.

The MP hoped the victims receive the help and support they need to bounce back and that measures are put in place to prevent such fire outbreaks in the future.

The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has assured traders who lost their shops they will implement measures to support them.

The Ghana National Fire Service has however launched a full investigation into the cause of the fire outbreak.

The MP was accompanied by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Francis Adu Boateng, leadership of the NPP Kwadaso Constituency, the Municipal Engineer, Presiding Member, Hon.Ernest Frimpong, the Municipal Planning Officer, Municipal Information Officer, Assembly Member for the electoral area,Hon.Richard Tutu,Assistant Directors of the Assembly and some staff of the NADMO Department.
