The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly in collaboration with Ghana Health Service,Ghana AIDS Commission and GHANET has today 3rd December, 2024,observed the world AIDS day by organizing HIV screening for people at the Sofoline Bus Terminal.
The theme for this year’s world AIDS day is *”Take the rights path:My Health,my right* “
In attendance at the Health screening exercise was the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.Richmond Agyenim-Boateng, the Municipal Chief Imam,Alhaji Attah,HIV AIDS Focal Person, Mrs Marian Tawiah,Mr Jesse Issachar,Assistant Director,Nurses,Officials from GHS,Reps from Ghana AIDS Commission and some staff of the Assembly.
The following activities were undertaken to mark the day
▪︎Street activation(displaying placards with HIV/AIDS inscription for education.)
▪︎Distribution of condoms and HIV self test kits.
▪︎Distribution of AIDS materials eg,flyers,stickers,
▪︎HIV testing and counseling at sofoline terminal.
▪︎Other Health screening exercise including BP and sugar level.
