The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency and Deputy Minister for Education, Hon.Professor Kin
gsley Nyarko together with the Municipal Chief Executive of Kwadaso, Hon. Richmond Agyenim-Boateng has today Friday 1st, November, 2024, presented startup kits to about 186 apprentice trainees after a successful completion of their skills training exercise at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly.
The program, financed by the Ghana Enterprise Agency(GEA) with support from the Master Card Foundation, is aimed at supporting the young beneficiary trainees to start their own businesses and grow to be self sufficient.
The beneficiaries were trained on Electric Welding, Dressmaking, Barbering, Plumbing, Leather works,Tiling, Hairdressing and catering and the were given Individuals Sewing Machines, Gas ovens, Barbering kits, Electric welder tools, Leather works kits, Tiling tools, Hair driers among others as their startup kits.
The beneficiaries were also given certificates.
Present at the event aside the MP and MCE were Mrs Evelyn Ayim-Asare, GEA Regional Secretary, the Presiding Member, Hon.Ernest Frimpong, Mr Kwaku Korankye, BAC Head, Mrs Rose Addai Sefa, District Coordinator, GEA, NADMO Director, NCCE Director, NSS Director, Social Welfare Director, Edwenase Rehabilitation Center Manager and some staff of the Assembly.
