KWADASO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY COMMISSIONS OFFICE COMPLEX FOR GHANA NATIONAL FIRE SERVICE AND AMBULANCE SERVICE


A representative of the Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako, Chief Director, R.C.C, together with the Member of Parliament for Kwadaso and Deputy Minister for Education, Prof. Kingsley Nyarko and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.Richmond Agyenim Boateng on Monday 21st October, 2024, commissioned an office complex for the Ghana National Fire Service and the National Ambulance Service at Kwadaso Nsuom.
The new office complex is part of the Assembly’s effort to improve safety and rapid response to emergency health situations in the municipality.
The new office is made up of several spacious fully furnished offices, washrooms, operation rooms, and rest rooms.
A fire hydrant has also being constructed to provide water supply for fire fighting.
There were goodwill messages by Assistant Chief Fire Officer, Peter Tetteh, the Ashanti Regional Fire Officer, P.A.E.M.T Sommik Duut Miilon, the Regional Commander for the National Ambulance Service and Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, Chief of Nzema and Chairman for the occasion.
They commended the Assembly for a good work done and expressed their profound gratitude to the government for the kind gesture.
The commissioning ceremony brought together key Stakeholders including the MCD, Mr. Francis Adu Boateng, Assembly Members, Heads of Departments, Fire and Ambulance Officers, Traditional Authority, Party Executives, the Clergy, Imam and staff of the Assembly.
The facility was funded by the Assembly’s share of the District Assemblies Common Fund.
In a related development, the Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Hon.Professor Kingsley Nyarko and the MCE, Hon.Richmond Agyenim-Boateng on that same day jointly commissioned a 40 unit market Stalls at Asuoyeboah market.
Commissioning the project, the MCE noted that, the new market would help boost the local economy in and around Asuoyeboah and urged the residents to patronize the market for it’s sustainability.
The MP on his part said, the new market would enable the traders to undertake their day-to-day economic activities to improve their lives and also be able to take care of their families.
He said the construction has become necessary because of the deplorable nature of the old market and to provide a serene environment for trading activities in the community.
The project was funded by the Assembly under the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) Six(6) .
The Queen Mother of the Asuoyeboah market, Obaapanin Adwoa Afriyie, expressed her appreciation to the MP and MCE for constructing the market and assured them that, they would take proper care of the facility to ensure its longevity.
Present at the ceremony were the MCD,Assembly Members, Nananom, Heads of Departments, Market women and Staff of the Assembly.
