A team from MINDSET CONSULT, a communication consultant overseeing the implementation of the KUMASI MOBILITY and ACCESSIBILITY PROJECT (KUMAP) today,Wednesday 25th September, 2024, engaged with the KUMAP Technical Working Group of KdMA at the Assembly’s Conference Hall.
The purpose of the meeting was to consult the TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP to plan on how the public education activities under KUMAP will be managed properly within the Kwadaso Municipality.
To help create awareness, there was the need to develop a communication strategy and roll out plans that would be used to engage stakeholders and educate them on the relevance and opportunities of KUMAP.
The Kumasi Mobility and Accessibility Project seeks to use the road corridors in the Greater Kumasi Metropolitan Area for the implementation of a Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) aimed at enhancing mobility, reduce traffic congestion and promote sustainable mode of transport.
The KUMAP technical group at the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly include, the MCD, the Transport Officer (Focal Person), the Municipal Planning Officer, Social Welfare Officer, Procurement Officer, Urban Roods Engineer, Information Officer, Physical Planning Officer, Finance Officer and the Municipal Environmental Health Officer.
