The Bosomtwe Rural Bank, Edwenase branch, as part of their corporate social responsibility has donated 40 boxes of sanitary pads to the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly towards the Pad Bank Project initiated by the Gender Desk of the Assembly.
The donation was done on 10th September, 2024, at the basement of the Assembly building by the bank’s branch manager and some officials.
The Pad Bank Project is aimed at creating a pool of sanitary items to cater for the menstrual needs of needy girls and promote good menstrual hygiene in the municipality.
The items were received on behalf of the Assembly by the Deputy Director, Mrs Margaret Ofosuhene and the Gender Desk Officer, Ms Agnes Amoateng.
In expressing their appreciation,the Deputy Director thanked the bank for their generosity and promised the items would be used for its intended purposes.
