The Budget committee of the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has held its third quarter meeting on 16th September, 2024, at the Municipal Assembly’s Conference Hall.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the budget performance for 2024 as at August and to present the Draft 2025 Fee Fixing Resolution, Composite Budget and the Revenue Improvement Action Plan (RIAP) of the Assembly for deliberations and onwards submission to the Finance and Administration sub-committee.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Francis Adu Boateng in his remarks urged members to participate fully for a successful deliberations and appealed to them to propose strategies that would help assist the Assembly in improving on its revenue generation.
In a power point presentation,Mr Joseph Osei-Owusu, the Municipal Budget Officer and Mr Maxwell Frimpong, a Budget Analyst, made presentations on the 2024 Composite Budget performance and draft 2025 fee fixing resolution to members of the committee.
The committee then discussed how to improve upon the revenue collection of some revenue items and also how to reduce certain expenditure.
The meeting was attended by the MCD,Heads of Departments and Units and staff of the Budget Unit.
The MCE, Hon. Richmond Agyenim-Boateng at a point also graced the meeting.
