KdMA ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS IN 2025 FEE FIXING RESOLUTION

In pursuant to the Local Government Act, 2016 Act 936 which enjoins MMDAs to invite residents and other stakeholders for their suggestions on the draft fee fixing resolution for the ensuing year,the Budget Unit of the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has on Wednesday 4th September 2024,organized a stakeholders engagement meeting on its 2025 fee fixing resolution for the Nzema Zonal Council at the auditorium of the Methodist Church of Ghana,Nzema.

The purpose of the meeting was to engage the stakeholders for their input for the draft proposal of the 2025 fee fixing resolution of the Assembly.

In a power point presentation, the stakeholders were taken through how the fees and rates were arrived at,the various categories and its corresponding fees.

They were also taken through the projects and programs the Assembly has undertaken since its inception in 2018.

The presentation was done by Mr Joseph Osei-Owusu, the Municipal Budget Analyst and Mr Maxwell Frimpong, also a Budget Analyst.

During the open forum,some of the participants raised issues of concern pertaining to their communities which were equally addressed by the MCE and the MCD.

In attendance were the MCE, Hon.Richmond Agyenim-Boateng, the MCD,Mr Francis Adu Boateng, the Presiding Member, Hon.Ernest Frimpong, Hon.Assembly Members and Unit committee members from the Nzema Zonal Council, Nananom,the Clergy, Heads of Departments, Opinion leaders,PWDs,artisans, market women,NGOs,residents among others.
