The Ashanti Regional chairman of ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP),Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako,popularly known as Chairman Wontumi together with the MCE for Kwadaso,Hon.Richmond Agyenim-Boateng have on Thursday 1st August, 2024, visited the Kwadaso market to commiserate with the market women who were affected by the fire outbreak that occurred in the early hours of Thursday.
He supported the market women whose shops were destroyed by the fire with an amount of Ghc100,000.
Addressing the traders,Chairman Wontumi said,he was briefed about the fire outbreak by the MCE so he had to quickly rush to the scene to commiserate with them.
The MCE on his part was full of praise for his Regional chairman for the swift response to the plight of the traders.
He expressed the Assembly’s sympathy over the unfortunate incident and assured the traders that,the Assembly would construct the over 40 shops that were gutted by the fire in earnest.
The regional chairman was accompanied by some Constituency and Regional Executives of the party.
Present at the event were the Presiding Member and Assembly Member for Kwadaso North, Hon.Ernest Frimpong, the NADMO Director, the Municipal Planning Officer,staff of NADMO and some staff of the Assembly.
