The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly in conjunction with their sister-city partners, Neu-Isenberg from Germany has on Wednesday 20th December, 2023, honoured five(5) schools in the Municipality which were able to nurture their trees planted during the tree planting exercise to maturity with all trees surviving at a colourful ceremony held at the Municipal Assembly’s Conference Hall.
The schools were Yaa Asantewaa SHS, which scored 94 percent and placed 1st, Agric Community SHS placed 2nd with 80 percent, Dechemuoso M/A Basic School also placed 3rd with 74 percent whiles 2 Brigade Basic School and Nyankyerenease Methodist Primary B placed 4th and 5th with 70 percent and 65 percent respectively.
Each school received a set of jersey with goalkeeper’s jersey, gloves, socks and two footballs.
The MCD congratulated the schools and their Head teachers, Staff and students and advised them to continue with the hard work.
Present at the event were the MCD,Mr Francis Adu Boateng, the Municipal Director of Education, Mrs Grace Ofosu Boateng, Mr Karikari,Neu-Isenberg Rep, and Mr Bannor Duodu, from Forestry Service.
Others included Mr Daniel Kerings, School Coordinator for tree planting, Mr Isaac Kyeremateng, the Municipal Planning Officer, Mr Ernest Nsiah Acheampong, the Municipal Finance Officer and Mr Jesse Issachar, a Deputy Director.
