The newly constituted Gender Networking Committee, a gender based subcommittee of the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has today 17th October 2023, held its first meeting at the Assembly’s Conference Hall.

The committee’s maiden meeting among other things was to bring members up to speed with objectives of the committee and also to discuss the Committee’s Action Plan for next year.

The primary objective of the Gender Networking Committee is to advocate for and work towards achieving gender equality in all aspects of society and its members were drawn from Social Welfare, NCCE, Information,
HumanResource, Education, Health, Agric, NYA, Disability Groups, Works, central Administration and the convener for Social services sub-committee .

The Deputy Coordinating Director, Mrs Margaret Ofosuhene, chaired the meeting and was assisted by Mrs Agnes Amoateng, who is an Assistant Director and the desk officer for the Gender Networking Committee.
