The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly on Friday 9th June 2023 joined the rest of the country to plant trees as part of activities to mark this year’s Green Ghana Day.
The tree planting exercise began at the forecourt of the Assembly’s Office Complex and continued with the team going round the municipality to plant the seedlings.
Some of the areas that benefited from the tree planting exercise include;Kwadaso Municipal Assembly Office Complex, Kwadaso Police Station, Asuyeboah Police Station and Pokukrom Police Station.
Schools such as Prempeh College,Yaa Asantewaa senior High School and Agric Nzema Community Day School and individuals were also given seedings by the assembly to plant at their premises and homes.
Honouring the tree planting exercise was the MCE, MCD, MFO, Agric Director, NADMO Director, Presiding Member, Assembly Members and some staff of the Assembly.
The Forestry Commission provided the assembly with 1000 seedlings of coconut, sweet apple, guava and mahogany for the exercise.
