The Kwadaso Municipal Health Directorate in collaboration with Healthy Heart Africa and PATH Ghana, all Non Governmental Organizations, have held a Health screening exercise for Persons Living With Disabilities(PWDS) in the Kwadaso Municipality to commemorate this year’s World Hypertension Day.
The event which was initiated by the Ashanti Regional Health Directorate was held at the Edwenase Rehabilitation Centre with the theme “Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control it, Live Longer”.
Present at the event were the MCE, Hon.Richmond Agyenim-Boateng, MCD, Mr Francis Adu Boateng, the Ashanti Regional Health Director, Dr Emmanuel Tenkorang, the Municipal Health Director, Mrs Grace Billi Kampifib, Dr. Robert Yeboah, President, Ghana Federation for Non-Communicable Disease.
Others included, Madam Lydia Owusu-Ansah(NCD), Mr John Bawah, Deputy Chief Party for PATH Ghana, Mr Nicholas Mensah, Chairman for Kwadaso Disability Association, Nurses, Officers from the Health Directorate and some members of the disability Association.
