KWADASO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HOLDS MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMITTEE UNIT MEETING.

The Municipal Planning and Coordinating Unit (MPCU) of the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has on Thursday 13th April, 2023 held its First Quarter meeting at the Assembly’s Conference Hall.

The purpose of the meeting was to take Heads of Departments/Unit through the guidelines in preparing their progress report for the Municipality and also to collate reports from the various Departments/Units for their first quarter activities.

Present at the meeting were Mr. Emmanuel Ntoso, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Honorable Mavis Opoku, Convener of Development Planning Sub-Committee and all Departmental Heads and Units of the Assembly.

Mr. Isaac Kyeremateng, the Municipal Planning Officer welcomed all members to the meeting and urged them to corporate for a successful deliberations.

He added that, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss with members the new guidelines in preparing their progress reports for the Assembly.

He explained that, the new guidelines was the manual which will guide members when preparing their progress reports.

Mr. Isaac Kyeremateng however stated that, the major problem faced by his unit is the delay in the submission of quarterly reports from the various departments.

Mr. Samuel Awatey, Senior Development Planning Officer, took members through the new guidelines for preparation of the progress reports which included Planning, Programming, Coordination of planning activities of the various Departments, Monitoring and evaluation.

He vividly explained to the house what must be included under each heading and suggested other things they could do to go beyond the required requirements.

He advised the Heads of Developments to prepare their progress reports on time and follow the new guidelines in preparing their progress reports.

In an open forum, the committee members were given the opportunity to ask all the relevant questions pertaining to the new guidelines in preparing their progress reports. All inputs were extensively deliberated and accepted where suitable.

In ending the meeting, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Emmanuel Ntoso, thanked all members for their participation throughout the meeting.

He urged members to put up their best and with a lot of urgency to meet all deadlines in submitting their reports.
