KWADASO ASSEMBLY HOLDS PLANNING COMMITTE MEETING AHEAD OF INDEPENDENCE DAY ANNIVERSARY

The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has held its maiden planning committee meeting of the 66th Independence Day Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday 6th February, 2023 at the Municipal Coordinating Director’s office.

 

The aim of the meeting was to plan and superintend over preparations for Ghana’s 66th Independence Day Anniversary Celebration slated for 6th March, 2023.

The Planning Committee is chaired by Mr. Emmanuel Ntoso, the Municipal Coordinating Director, and its membership include, Grace Ofosu-Boateng, Municipal Director of Education, Zimpah Joseph ADOII, Ghana Fire Service, Emmanuel Kyei, Ghana Police and Ernest Nsiah Acheamong, Municipal Finance Officer.

Others include, Mrs. Evelyn Gyawu, a representative from Ghana Health Service, Mr. Eric Nti Boateng, Municipal Information Officer, Mr. Francis Saka, a representative from Works Department and Marian Tawiah, Secretary to the committee.

Speaking at the meeting, the Municipal Coordinating Director said, the celebration should be modest as the Assembly do not have the money that they need to have but added that, the celebration should be elegant and simple.
He urged members to work together for a successful event.

Six Sub-committees namely – Transport, Publicity, Security, Awards, Grounds and Refreshment were put in place to begin preparations.
