HON.DR KINGSLEY NYARKO PARTICIPATES IN PREMPEH COLLEGE BASIC ‘A’s MAIDEN GRADUATION AND SPEECH & PRICE GIVING DAY.

25/11/22, the Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, Hon.Dr Kingsley Nyarko honoured the invitation of Prempeh College Basic ‘A’ school to climax its maiden graduation, Speech and Price Giving Day.

The ceremony was the first of its kind since the school’s establishment that sought to award hardworking, brilliant students and pass out JHS graduands having successfully completed their basic examination.

Delivering the keynote address as the Special Guest of Honour under the theme”Free education, gender parity,” the Hon MP expressed the government’s commitment to education, policies and priority-driven initiatives put together in the interest of making this sector one of the best. He reiterated the importance of free education in enhancing human capital and making nations prosperous. He praised HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for introducing the free senior high school education and encouraged parents to ensure their children benefit from it. He indicated that the FSHS education is a key to our progress and development. The Hon Member also indicated that the advent of the FSHS has increased gender parity from 0.92 in 2007 to 0.99 in 2021, a very significant progress towards achieving gender parity which is 1.

The Hon MP highlighted the support services offered in respect of financial and other forms of assistance towards education in the constituency.

“Basic education needs a special attention and I remain resolute in making sure the relevant stakeholders and I prioritise this sector to the best of my ability” the MP assured the gathering.

Health and medical Examinations were undertaken to screen potential ailments and impairment that are likely to undermine the physical well-being of Teachers, Parents and students.

Hon.Dr Kingsley Nyarko made a cash donation of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghc2,000.00) in support of the ceremony.

In attendance in this colourful event were; Hon. Richmond Agyenim Boateng, The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwadaso, Mrs Grace Ofosu Boateng, Municipal Education Director for Kwadaso, Mr Loius Boampong, Research & Elections Director- Kwadaso NPP, Mr Castro Kwame Nkrumah, Constituency Youth Organizer- Kwadaso NPP, Officers of Northern Command, Ghana Armed Forces and others well-wishers thronged the ceremony grounds.
