INNOVATION IN NON-TRADITIONAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND SKILLS TRAINING (INVEST) FOR WOMEN IN GHANA.
Kwadaso Municipal Assembly in partnership with Canada organized a workshop to build a sustainable pathways to enhance economic empowerment, wellbeing and inclusive growth for women in Kwadaso Municipality by supporting 5000 women to enter and thrive within high-growth, male-dominated trades.
Using an inclusive market systems approach, the project will INVEST in women, institutions and the labour market of hight growth sectors to achieve sustainable, scalable, and transformative change.
The INVEST initiative will address the root causes of gender inequalities faced by young women and engage with industry actors to create an enabling environment for young women’s access to decent work, ultimately leading to a strengthened workforce and labour market.
The INVEST project will support young women venturing into a wide range of male-dominated trades, through the following TVET training programs;
